FINALLY!
Just before midnight on Thursday, we decided it was time for a c-section.
The surgical team was called together and I was sent in to the OR. They strapped me down and gave me a spinal. I didn't realize that they were going to strap me down.
I had them go tell Scott that I was strapped down so that he was prepared for it when he walked in the room. The nurse came back and said that the surgery would be delayed for a few minutes more. Apparently Scott was feeling faint.
He finally came in and things got started. I finally felt them sit Wyatt up and heard him cry loud and strong.
I couldn't really see him as they were checking him out and cleaning him up but Scott could.
It felt like it took forever for them to get me closed up and into recovery so that I could finally really see my baby boy.
He was absolutely beautiful and looked just like Scott, including his full, smoochable lips.
I was given a little time to cuddle and nurse him before they sent me to my room.
As I was being wheeled passed my parents, I could see Dad looking for the baby. I let him know that the baby was coming behind me in his own little cart.
Mom and Dad had an appointment early Friday morning. So, they wanted to spend some time with the baby before they had to hurry back home.
Wyatt was 8 lbs, 8 ozs. and was 20.5 inches long . . . what a big, beautiful boy!
